Re: Book Fairs, Library Sales - Dates & Times

Morwell seems to be more and more becoming a mainly residential town. Half the CBD has been closed down for years. I don't know why Hardly Normal opened up there in the closed down Sam's Warehouse store. Wonder how long they'll last. Only Mid Valley does well & that even had a lot of empty shops for a few years. Morwell might have cheaper rent but the downside is there's less shoppers.

Mister-can i call you Rama.
Was a big morning at Yarragon.
Well run-but a bit over powering to see so many books in the one place.
You had 2 green bags full-whilst i was scratching my head-going wtf.
Hung around outside for a while to see if you needed a hand loading up.
If you had have pointed Sqauk out to me-i could have
given her and the kidlet a ride home.
Read before she waited for a late train.
Was happy with the purchases i made.
Richo.

I have a book in the book cellar about a hairdresser in the States who opens a bookshop/beauty salon when her job as a publisher's rep was canned... became quite famous with the reading groups she established... will try and dig out the title tomorrow.

Easily sold over 20 green bags full of books this week plus the sales I had last week, i need another book sale. Anyone know of a book sale around Melb coming up?
If you thought you could give Carmel a lift, I think you would have been dreaming, maybe if you had tied the kids to the roof and filled the back seat up with all the books she had found.
It's always the good book sales I remember fondly.

A bloke should have -gone to the pub,

Definitely would have Richo. I was bragging a bit about the number of books. Was only 7 green bags full. Mostly small ones so would have been around the 200 mark. And only 1 kidlet. He would have talked your ear off. ๐Ÿ™‚

But I got to meet a lovely young man at the station. (31 is young to me nowadays) He picked that my youngster has a disability as he has the same one. He told me some of his experiences growing up, gave me a bit more of an insight into how the Aspergers version of autism isn't the same for everyone. He asked a question about why I hadn't given up on my youngster when so many other foster parents had. After I gave my answer I turned around to see him crying. He said he wished he'd had someone like me in his life when he was younger. So then I was crying. Never learnt his name, but am very glad I got to talk to him.

Rama, are you after any stock particularly, or just more to fill up your shelves? I'm looking at offloading a bit (I will be keeping some for my return). From memory I have a decent amount of Agatha Christie, can do Jackie Collins, Bryce (haha), Leon Uris, probably John Grisham, Paullina Simons, and probably more by the time I look! I can get them to Leongatha easily if you were interested. DM me if you are.
