G'day,

Yeah, there's a heap of solutions . . .right!  Google the error code and read all about the disasters that eBay has caused (and the listings in Google go back to 2016 - probably earlier but it was too depressing to go through 100's of previous pages after reading the first 6)

Why ooh why do WE have to do the fact finding, solution sourcing and spend endless amounts of valuable time, money, burnt brain cells and adding to high blood pressure, anxiety, stress etc, etc to DO what eBay should do to make the shopping/selling experience seamless?

This is NOT our problem so why do WE have to chase the desired outcome . . . I don't see any other retailer or service provider telling us to do THEIR work for them so WE can pay them.

Anyhow, thought I was the only one experiencing this issue of a 'glitch' in eBay's 'No Way Pay' stuff up.

Go to the Discussion Board and see my 'Unable to paySeller' where I have detailed my problem to those who are interested in this absolutely ludicrous unimaginable idiotic asinine stupid beyond belief hair brain payment system that in the 21st Century with all the whizzbang tech developments in digital technology with endless ways to gain your dollar they (eBay) can't even get it right for the consumer to be able to pay for one item let alone multiple items . . . and this B*&&S%#T has been going on and off for over many years (personal experience) and they still can't get it right. W -T- F !!!

It's no wonder shoppers and sellers are deserting eBay by the droves to the competition . . . Customer Service isn't even on eBay's radar . . . just your $$$ at even a greater cost to you in the end. You can't even talk with the Technical Assistance Team (they say they have one) to explain your issue, the problem your having, to work with you to resolve the issue in real time and to arrive at a successful outcome to better your shopping/selling experience . . . AND there’s NO FOLLOW UP (I don't consider the laughable email replies from eBay as credible Follow Up – as it’s a waste of time based on the articles in the Google Search) from anyone at eBay either. . . unless of course you’ve done the wrong thing that impacts on THEM!!

Currently, as of yesterday (day 3 of being unable to pay the seller) I made my umpteenth call to Customer Service to see what progress there was with my issue (a growing complaint) and was told that the Tech Team are working on it (Wednesday they had told me it would take 24 – 48 hours to provide a fix!!) and I can only pay for up to 10 items domestically and up to 3 items overseas . . . unbelievable!!

This morning (Saturday 12th 4am) I went into my ‘Purchase History’ to “Pay Now’ and got that error message again (70245 70438) and instructed to try later . . . then went into my ‘Shopping Cart’ to pay the same seller (14 item invoice) and the items aren’t even listed there . . . no invoice . . . no nothing!

I don’t want anyone telling me to consider contacting PayPal either . . . the buck stops with eBay regardless of WHO they (eBay) interface with on a payment method process . . it’s THEIR job not mine to complete the payment process . . I’m shopping and buying on eBay NOT PayPal.

I mean, where else to you run into this problem with anyone else in this day and age of NOT having the ability to pay someone for something (other than system crashes & hacks). . . think about!

Maybe someone will start the ball rolling on Facebook (I’m not on Facebook) to mount public pressure which would light a fire under their A$$@S to help them pull their finger out and get results once and for all . . . there are millions of disgruntled eBayers out there.

Cheers

Have you been able to pay for your 40 plus items yet?

Has the seller made 2 invoices for you to enable you to pay?

No, because she's too busy posting duplicate posts to every single person she wants to reply to.

70245 70438 what do these error codes mean when I am trying to make a payment

I had this error this morning when I had seven items in my cart. When I clicked go to checkout, I got the error message. I first tried signing out of my account and signing back in again, but that didn't work.

I looked at what I had in my cart. It was five items from overseas sellers and two items from Australian sellers. What I did was to remove the two items from the Australian sellers, leaving only the five items from the overseas sellers.

After doing this, I was then able to go through checkout with no issues and pay the five overseas sellers. Then I added the two items from the Australian sellers back to my cart and went to checkout again, when I could pay for the two items from the Austrailan sellers.

I haven't encountered this problem previously when having a mix of items in my cart from Australian sellers and overseas sellers. I don't know why this issue has suddenly cropped up, but it might have something to do with eBay Australia charging GST on overseas orders. On the other hand, it may have nothing to do with this and have some other cause.

The main thing is that I was able to work out this solution and I hope this may help others having this issue when attempting to go to checkout to pay for items from sellers in different countries to their home country.

If you want to pay for multiple items in mixed currencies from the Cart you have always had to pay for each currency separately.

There is nothing new in that and I have never had it result in any error codes....just a message to pay for each currency separately.

In fact, I believe as soon as you put a different currency in the cart you get a message telling you to pay each currency separately.

I was aware of not being able to pay different sellers in different currencies in one transaction. As you mentioned, this normally just results in a message to pay each currency in a separate transaction and it does not usually cause an error code to be displayed.

However, in this case, all the payments were in Australian Dollars. It was just different countries that the sellers were located in. With items from Australia, GST is already included in the price, but with overseas purchases, GST is added separately. I have previously paid for multiple items in Australian Dollars from several sellers, but this is the first time that attempting to do this resulted in an error code being displayed.

I don't know what the real cause of this error was, but the solution was to remove the items from the Australian sellers, then I could pay for the items from the overseas sellers. Then I just addeed the other items from the Australian sellers and paid them.
