All of a sudden my username is different and it is not my ebay account (not my purchase history etc).  I don't know what to do or how to change it back to me.  It's my email account but different username with no purchase history at all which is incorrect.

What would cause this and how do I fix it please.

It would seem you have created a new account.

Try signing in with the ID for the account you want to use.

Click on "Sign Out", then select "Sign In Again". When the next page loads up, under "Not You? Switch Account", click on "Switch Account", and enter your old User ID and password.
