It happens to me too. Friday being one of the reasons. The others are, e/Bay and PayPal are merely trying to protect your security against scammers. It happens more often when you made a mistake with your password. It is very annoying indeed but it's for yours/our protection.

2. Yes, I did acknowledge that it was probably Fridayitis
3. I said I hoped it doesn't become permanent. From experience I know that often when they are fiddling with something, it becomes a new 'enhanced experience' for us.

Bad architecture.
It should be a high priority to fix, and whoever mucked about with the relevant code should be tossed into a swamp.

Seems there are several variations of the problem. Obviously a lot of fiddling going on.

I click 'skip for now'
Prompts me to do it anyway
I click skip again, still wants me to do it
