Dodgy screen appears whilst on eBay - HACKED?

I was on eBay when the screen was replaced with a dodgy Telstra winner announcement with a popup screen asking me to click OK.

The URL of the screen is as below and a space has been added after https so that no one else clicks on it.

eBay technical team please look into this as this could be a hacking attempt!!!!

Sounds like a pop up scam possibly with a virus.

Clear your browser history and clear cookies n temp internet files.

Then restart computer and download a free adblocker.

Run a scan with defender to be sure it doesn't have a virus.

eBay tech team do not read these boards (despite the blurb)

Do as suggested by Kopes

Installing an ad blocker may also help

Thank you Kope, the scam pop-up is a eBay web coding vulnerability that they are ignoring and it is getting worse, so time to escalate to media, looks like eBay doesn't care, let's see if they care if their reputation is at stake.

The screenshot is taken from yesterday's issue:

So I take it you have reported it to eBay already, but how did you do so?

*If* you emailed, most emails about anything are ignored or at best, answered by bots

Far better to use the have us call you option and ask for a supervisor

Plus, if you are on Facebook, raise the matter on their Facebook age

This is a serious issue and will be reported to:

https://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/security_researchers.html and any other Hacker forum

Yes, I am aware it is serious and never said it was'nt

I asked when and how you reported it to eBay and to let you know emailing eBay about anything is useless, and given it's seriousness, it is best reported to a supervisor rather than 'ground level staff'

I know it was happening to me, I would be wanting to cover all avenues

If it is so serious why have you not yet reported it.....it has been over a week since you started this thread.

Happening all the time now, random ebay links such as item tracking numbers ...and more ....are attempting re-directs to phising and hacking sites. Fortunately having a MAC, Flash is not supported and the re directws pages do not load. Have reported to both ebay and Norton.
