Ebay does not verify email address during sign up - tom, dick and harry...

Hi,

I own a domain name e.g. mydomain.com

Ebay does not send validation emails on account setup so this allows every tom, dick and harry to use any email address on signup such as tom@mydomain.com, dick@mydomain.com and harry@mydomain.com.

The problem is that I get all the emails for tom@mydomain.com, dick@mydomain.com and harry@mydomain.com.

and tom, dick and harry can use their accounts for fake buying or selling.

I have chatted with eBay before and they seem unwilling verify email addresses which is simply shocking to me.

Any options i have?

Thanks

When owning a domain, is there not some sort of general function to stop others using that domain or can it be used anywhere on the net ?

If it can be used whether it's yours or not, that would go for all domains on all the internet so not exclusively an eBay problem.

It's definitely an eBay problem.  I'm using a custom domain and verification emails aren't coming through, though the address works for all other services I've used.  My domain has DKIM and DMARC setup, and runs through FastMail.  Hopefully support can help because I've already made a sale on this account.
