So here is the thing.
A seller had a expensive comic available to be sent to Australia. What I found out was he had another comic I also wanted (simple combine post, right?) and up it went to be available. (Same sized books - structurally no difference - a perfect 'alternate' where the only difference is content)
Seller made a mistake though, he accidentally didn't select that second book as being capable of being mailed to Australia.
HE SENT ME OFFERS for BOTH books which I accepted (both, individually). He KNOWS I am in Australia (global shipping would do it anyhow!!).
Suddenly I couldn't pay for either of them - because one isn't available to be sent to my location.
HE couldn't make an invoice at his end either.
NOTHING either of us tried could get it to work. No invoice change, no mailing location change, NOTHING.
He goes on vacation, and despite the email correspondence trail (in EBAY - which you look at no less) and actions of the Seller to indicate HE wants the deal done as much as me with sending me OFFERS (I'm willing to wait), Customer Service can't DO anything because I'm NOT the person they need to initiate the request for help.
He's gone off already (bad timing) so NOTHING is going to happen from his end.
NOTHING can be done from my end.
The system times out because I CAN'T pay. Not won't, CAN'T... The system won't let me any which way and NO ONE is there to help.
DEAL FALLS THROUGH (I'M **bleep**).
NOW my current state of account (which was 100% perfect - and it says it still is) has some type of strike against me - So NOW I can't even bid on something no one else has (or wants) to bid on which will end in a few days time.
I get the following message : The item can't be purchased since you have had 2 unpaid item(s) recorded on your account in the last 6 month(s).
Its the ONE TRANSACTION. The one with the problem, that's AFTER its been cancelled - Because EBAY FAULTS in the system LET ME get to a certain point, then BLOCKED ME from completing it. THEN Customer Service wiped their hand's of the situation completely.
I AM REALLY ANGRY THAT YOU'VE SCREWED ME OUT OF TWO OTHERWISE CONFIRMED PURCHASES - AND POTENTIALLY SCREWING ME OUT SEVERAL OTHERS ALREADY - One I couldn't OFFER for, another I can't BID on - Oh, and until those items are sold, you're screwing Sellers needlessly.
Already I would have WON one auction EASILY because I was prepared to have thrown a fair bit more money than the Winning Bidder did - and I would have fought until I won any bidding war, (I was willing to go way higher).
My Purchasing history - The fact the SELLER was SENDING ME OFFERS - along with the customer service transcripts associated with the whole issue that got me here (stuck) should damn well have some weight against the restrictions that have been placed on my account.
Disappointing.

Ebay doesn't read or respond here.
The first seller should have cancelled both listings and re-listed them as a special offer for you.
'Simples' really.
