Hi , I can search and find items, but every time I try and open the items page, I get "Can't reach this page"" messages . This has only occurred in the last couple of days. I can open items through my android phone but not my laptop.

It seems that we have been wasting our time for the last few weeks posting the same information every time someone wakes up to the fact that there is a problem with ebay. Why should they even bother to see if a "fix" has already been posted?
Sit back and wait for a first time poster to give the answer and receive their undying gratitude.

Good old Dion. He shouldn't have a problem wth Win10.
That's what I'm using. No problems here.

I have Windows 8 and 10 on my computer and am currently using 8 with the shell.
No problems on any of them and have not even had to clear cookies etc.

I've got Win 7 and I don't think I've dumped cache this year. Mr Tippy has the first Win 8 that everyone hated and he wouldn't know what cache is. Cookies are something you eat according to him. He certainly knows what AdBlock is though. He does FAR more eBay searching than me. Neither of us have any issues.
I wonder if anyone tried my suggestion of turning off their virus scanner. Mine occasionally will start blocking a site for no reason.

I also have this problem with Firefox - no amount of cookie and cache clearing helps (so that solution is basically useless for some of us).
Unless Firefox did some sort of stealth update, nothing had been changed up until yesterday when this problem struck me.

Have you checked for updates?
I have nothing else to suggest.
I don't know why so many people are having this problem.

I aren't. On Firefox, Chrome, or the Avast subset of Chrome.
The Chrome ones are slower than Firefox, but they still work.
And I haven't had to clear C&C for many months.
Which would tend to indicate that the issues, whilst affecting several people, cannot be eBay-specific.

All I know is, if you don't do updates, things start to go haywire.
