I have suddenly had a problem signing into ebay for the past week or two, and I am receiving New Sign-in Activity warning emails whenever I attempt to sign in.using a bookmark and saved password in Mozilla Firefox with Windows 7. I've discovered a work around by changing some of my security settings in Firefox, but this doesn't particularly suit me. Can any one throw some light on this problem? Thanks.

Not sure, but possibly something to do with Windows 7 end of life?

We noticed recent sign-in activity on your account using a new device.
Signed in since
26/01/2021 11:15 AM
Device
Windows (Chrome 88.0)
Approximate location
Meadows, South Australia, Australia
If this was you, you're all set!
The thing is, it was me signing in, both times (and I'm nowhere near Meadows, SA)

spoke too soon.... Password keeps changing..... Could be a hack but my guess is Ebay is stuffing around. Lots of changes going on....Of course it's not happening to everybody....Have done all the obvious and suggested fixes but nothing seems to work.....Can't contact ebay to find out...It's a dogs breakfast at the moment,,but nothing has happened yet!!!

Its nothing to be concerned about its to do with your internet service provider logging you in to the internet by finding the quickest etc access point which maybe not where you are, it happens frequently with us we are in Morawa WA and we always being routed thru Sydney so eBay recognises the change and sends us the activity warning

I first encountered that message five days ago, for no obvious reason, and I've received a daily reminder since then.
A little experiment suggests that the problem is cookie related - if I delete cookies after signing out (which my browser does when shut down), eBay thinks I'm signing in on a "new device", but if I leave the cookies alone there's no warning message.
