If you go into Advanced Search, choose the option to show only items located in Australia.
Once you are on the page which lists the search result, you may also need to check the box in the left column which states Australia Only.
If non-Aussie results still show up, you may need to choose a kilometre limit to your search.

That doesn't always work. If a Chinese seller lists a toothbrush and blocks every other country except Australia, it will show up under Australia only, because they post to Australia. Those sellers will also list the item as being in Sydney, or Chullora, or a multitude of other Australian locations. They will also show up in local search, despite the item actually being sent from China.
What people need to do is check where the seller is registered. It's easily found on their feedback page under their username. If the item says it's in Sydney, and the seller is registered in China, that's where it's likely to be sent from. Setting Australia only, or within X km, isn't going to stop anyone seeing their items.
