Popup alarm attack. Attempt to infect your clients computers

I couldn't find anywhere else to report this.

I was browsing while logged in on eBay au site yesterday with microsoft edge on windows 10 when 2 tabs popped up with out me clicking anything.

One was a redirect page .......

Reimage Repair
http://www.greatpcchoice.com/lp/sqj/index.php?channel=jot_pc_CA&banner=3c926839&adgro

The other was
Win Errxx0051  with a load buzzer audio alarm & a fix now button.

I was able to close the tab & window (of course I did not click any links/buttons/anything within the page) but it repeatedly occurred
so I logged out of ebay & closed windows.

Firewall/antivirus did not detect or block nor showed any event in history log.

eBay should control the popups that can come through from eBay pages to protect clients.
Otherwise we may stop browsing & therefore purchasing through them.

Had the same problem ,also with Windows 10 and using Edge, but close down the eBay site logged back in all Ok.

As you say , Never click on any of the links.

I did a full scan with McAfee and all Ok.
