Problem Listing today

I have problem with listing today. All revisions I made goes through without a hitch. The problem is the item then becomes unsearchable. Only way to see the item is through its URL. searching it on eBay or through my store's site ends up being hidden. Only remedy I've seen that worked is to close and sell similar but that would eat up my free listing allowance???? Anyone having this issue too?

Its perfectly normal for new listings and revisions of existing listings to take some time to show in searches. Ebay advise it can take up to 24 hours before your new or revised listings become visible. The same thing happens when stores are placed in holiday mode and then reinstated.

Some sellers believe ebay take longer to show listings from new sellers as these are scutinised more carefully for scams and policy breaches than those of long term sellers who have built a reputation over time for reliable service. I cant comment on the veracity of this one, but it would make sense.
