Problem with passkeys and country specific vs global ebay websites

I have a problem with using passkeys.

If I create a passkey for a country specific ebay website e.g. ebay.com.au on my PC (Windows 11 24H2), it doesn't work on ebay.com and vice versa.  Yet when I log in to either website, it lists all the passkeys whether they're for ebay.com or ebay.com.au etc. but doesn't say which is for which.

Another thing missing is the ability to use a passkey from another device (e.g. login on the PC using a passkey on a mobile phone).

If you can't fix it so that all eBay passkeys work for logging into ebay.com or any country specific ebay website, then the next best thing would be for the website to say which specific website each passkey is for.

Other members can’t fix it any more than you can

And I doubt eBay would do anything, even if they did happen to read your post since they do not take requests

Hi dave, with a bit of luck they will tell us what is special about a passkey.  All I know is it replaces user ID and password.
