Unable to place quotes on Android phone

I am unable to place quotes in reply to messages on my android phone. In full version, the preview looks fine, but the resultant post is complete gibberish full of markup tags etc.... Any others in the same boat? By the way, my browser of choice is Firefox.

Thanks *tippy*toes*. By saying accessed, do you mean that you also quoted and posted in full view with android/chrome? I am hoping that the eBay technical team will read this, since I believe that the problem is an eBay software issue. I am surprised that so few people seem to be accessing the forums on mobile devices!

samoaman, unfortunately the eBay technical team won't read your post.

They don't read anything.

It's incredibly misleading for eBay to have a Community board with a sub-forum called "Inside eBay" and a sub-sub-forum called "Technical Issues". It's still part of the "Community" board, moderated not by eBay itself but by an outsourced company called Lithium, whose job it is to administrate and moderate the boards but certainly not to provide customer service or technical assistance.

If only eBay's IT team were able to be contacted by customers reporting genuine technical issues... but they are not.

The regular responders here are all too well aware of the problems of posting on mobile phones so avoid it if possible.

However, I do know that Tippy's circumstances mean that she often does use her phone so is well placed to give advice.

I use an old nokia so apart from not being able to do anything but call or text I certainly can't use ebay on it lol

I use a "dumb" phone too crow.   I have no need for anything else and don't want anything else. 

Once I can no longer make calls on a dumb phone I will not replace it.  My OH may have to get something more up to date but we will make do with the one "convenient" phone.   I am not out so often that friends can not call back.....and nuisance calls are not needed anyway.

I'm same as you lyndal lol,a couple of weeks ago my phone died it was the battery,instead of buying a new phone I purchased a new battery lol and when I was able to use it again I had 100s of calls and texts on it lol.

I let the important people know that next time they can't contact me to let other family members know lol.

We also have no use for a "smart" phone.

In fact, we use one "dumb" phone between 2 of us, and no landline.

When at home we have an antenna plugged into the back to get reception, so the phone is actually less mobile than a cordless landline.

As we don't have too many people calling us anyway, it suits us very well.
