I have at certain times had 100 saved sellers but have reduced this list over the past few months to 81. If I try to add another seller it tells me:-
"You've already saved 100 sellers (the max allowed). You need to unsave a seller before adding another. Go to yourprofile"
I take another nbame or two off my list but it does not change. It would seem that once the trigger for 100 has been reached any reduction is not counted and the trigger is not removed.

Perhaps I don't understand this correctly but It seems to me that it is Ebay that is replying to my request to place another seller on my list.. Are you saying that what is in my cache is accessed by Ebay prior to giving me the advice?

If you clear cookies and cache,(it's your history on your computer and it builds up to a level where it can
confuse itself and prevent further input).
In the cache there could be more sellers designated in you seller list then what are actually there.
By clearing the cookies and cache you give yourself a "cleaner/tidier computer.

Did clear history as you recommended but to no avail. Still the same message. If I log in on a different computer (not used by me before) why would the history and cache matter? I think that this is another Ebay problem.

Nowhere have you mentioned another computer so the suggestion were only given for the one that you
are using,(I had the same/similar problem years ago and then one day it started working normal again and I was
able to get to 99 as it never let me get 100).
I don't have anywhere near a hundred now so can't check.
My try contacting eBay and see what they say?
This gives you their direct links without having to go through their rigmarole:
