When i try to contact an agent for live help it says
'Something went wrong. Please try again later. You can also get more info searching online help or you can contact an agent' If this is because its closed they should put the opening hours, maybe it stops at 11pm?
so how do i contact ebay with a msg not on live chat please??

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
If nothing else works, try this link:

If you are unable to get a call back, try contacting eBay via social media direct message:

You don't. Try again when they open in the morning.
Alternatively, you can always ask for advice here.

i have not needed to use ebay help for a very long time, so are you saying there is no longer an option to fill in the form that msgs ebay with the problem? That's what used to happen a few years back, there was the option of that, live chat &/or phone them.

You can type speak to an agent in the chat bot
I have never in my 20 years of using ebay (yes under a different account) known them to be available 24/7
But I’d also rather factual replies from other members who actually use eBay and know the policies, rather than agents trying from pre written scripts and telling us everything will be fixed in 24-48 hours when it never happens
The chat bot has been a thing for quite a while now

Yes that is exactly what i did, but typed in the words live agent which brings up the option, which was met by the error msg.
i did not say they were available 24/7, i thought it might finish at 11pm or midnight. Or they would at least say what hours live agents were available, which they did not. I have also been on Ebay for over 20 years.

If I remember correctly (could be wrong), the customer service hours are 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 7pm on weekends.
Did you manage to get hold of them yet? The option of asking for advice here is still available.

The issue is related to email notifications still coming through when i had turned them off about 4 days ago. I had tried signing out then in again, clearing the cookies & cache but it did not fix the problem.
I got onto live chat again & this time was able to chat to an agent who assured me their tech team would look into it for me. Fingers crossed!
So thank you but not something members here could fix.
