Everytime I try to respond I have to sign in again and start message again. Then after couple of times trying , i get red message saying - not working now try again later. Why is this happening? I keep refreshing, but no improvement

Ok so the first time I noticed this problem was at 11:49AM WST, it's now 10:35pm and this issue is still ongoing

Thanks for that. I hope you are right. That's what they have been telling me all day. I leave for a few hours, but problem still there. Best to sleep on it. Unfortunately I couldn't support myself on an open case- deadline today.

About the same with me. Sorry again - but what is BTW?

And no, I don't use a proxy server clearly eBay does probably Nginx or something similar due to the traffic the "my.ebay" site receives. Multiple providers same problem sometimes I get the error mentioned on the previous page.

I have to say I'm not impressed with the belittling that has gone on here. You don't have to explain yourself. You simply politely asked for help.
Maybe they hadn't had enough coffee or something, but quite rude I thought. Did this issue sort itself out? The site has been very glitchy lately. I personally feel that would be due to increased traffic and just being overloaded.
Internet Explorer is just a browser, an old one that Ebay no longer supports. I use Google Chrome, you can download it for free, just do a search for it. It's not email, it's just a browser. I've found it to be very good. I'm no computer expert but message me anytime if you have any computer problems. More than happy to help if I can

Gateway timeout is your internet connection. From my limited knowledge, it would seem that's your problem not the website. I would call your provider, Telstra or whoever, and talk to them about it. Your speed might be slowing down in peak times causing it to time out. Only solution there is to pay to move to a speed that will cope when you need it to. But give them a call

Don't let them talk you into a plan, best to pay month by month so you're not locked into a contract, free to move to another provider anytime you choose

Thank you for your support and kind words. Yes I thought some responses were uncalled for but that is modern day media. Rudeness rules. I wonder if they are knowalls in everything or just computers. I tried to make some changes based on some advice but all my computer did was upgrade and give me a whole lot of new things to come to terms with. But , yes , still having problems with ebay. I thought it was overload but couple of knowalls said cookies. I cleared them but no better. have tried google but still going round in circles. I have downloaded , paid for, computer fixups in past and all that happened was computer crashed- so I am very wary of these fixup recommendations. But again , Thankyou. All the best to you too.
