missing industrial subcategories

A few days ago I got on my ebay summary, all categories, industial and then search, like I have done over the years and what happened was I was taken to heavy equipment only. All other sub categories have disappeared to the ether. Typeing in metalworking gets me nowhere so its a search all over the place to find what I want. With this and the hide order being faulty as well something is amiss somewhere. Can I remove ebay and reinstall and keep passwords, account, history and stuff without changing anything or starting from scratch? Is there a patch available?

Re: missing industrial subcategories

As you were told on your previous thread about this matter, the boards are not read by eBay.

Your membership information is held on eBay's servers, so uninstalling and reinstalling the app won't affect any of that. It will not, however, get you what you want. eBay have changed the categories and are unlikely to change them back. If the workarounds you were given are insufficient (I got 3 catergories where metalworking tools were listed), then you might have to refine your search terms to find what you want.

There is no patch as this is not a glitch, it is a site change. You have already been told this, and you could, and should, have added to your previous thread rather than starting a new one.

Your original thread is in 'Buying' and this will join it soon, I suspect, as it is not a technical issue.

Why fix things that arn't broke? Who do I take my complaint to without being told off for complaining? Still not happy with setup.

Re: missing industrial subcategories

As this is an ebay implemented change you should take your complaints to ebay.

Who knows how they will react?

Re: missing industrial subcategories

It was a rhetorical question Dave.

The OP wants to ask someone who will not tell him off and we all know it is anyone's guess how the CS reps will react.....they have been known to be undertanding and polite and they have been known to hang up.
