why do search results disappear after 10 pages?

Yeah, I don't get it. When the other fellow who was assisting me asked for links to the pages I was talking about, I gave him the links. This is what happened...

"All those links work for me, and display a full page of results. When I set my items per page to 200, I can go all the way up to page 50 and see all the results. Or I can get to page 200 with only 50 items per page, before I hit the 10,000 item limit.

If it matters, I am actually located in the US, but I am searching the Austalia site with my location set to Australia to calculate shipping."

OK,....So if he can link to the same page and same search I'm using, AND see full results all the way to PAGE 50, then WHY CAN'T I? And the same thing occurs if I use Firefox or Edge browsers.

I just don't get it. I keep getting advice about changing the way I do searches, but I never had to before. Why now? And how come someone else can follow a link I give them to the same page my displayed search results start to reduce in number, before disappearing altogether a page or two later, and they can navigate to page bloody 50 while still getting full results? Unbelievable.

I have no idea why. I would guess a glitch. I know that sounds like a cop out, but when it's happened to me in the past, it did eventually sort itself out each time.

Given how much you search, the filtering to new listings first would be the way to go. One of my collectable categories I search that way, because a lot of the items are auction, and they could be listed for 3, 7 or 10 days, so I could have to go through pages and pages searching for new listings. Saves having to trawl through ones I've seen 50 times already. I can tell at a glance what is new, and scroll through them until they no longer say "new listing".

Yeah, but I have reasone for needing to look at past search results, and I don't want to have to limit myself to new listings first or completely. And why would I have to? I've been using the same process for 14 years happily without issue. Why do I suddenly have to filter this or that when it wasn't necessary before to get the results I WANTED?

I'm having an issue using Microsoft Edge. Whenever I load a search that returns at least 1000 items, I scroll through the first 200, click next page, I'm taken to page two, but it says no results available. Also in eBay Community on some threads, on the first page I can only see the first two messages. I highly recommend using Firefox instead of Microsoft Edge. Google Crome sucks and Microsoft Edge is Google Crome based. This is weerd. eBay search shows me all the items on every page in Internet Explorer. In Edge, i'm only allowed to access page one, and then when I click on page two onwards, they all return 0 results of 1000 items. Stupid Javascript. I think Javascript should be banned because it is nothing but problems, from items not expanding and many more issues.

I'm in the same situation. I'm only allowed to see page one of results. I navigate to page two and it says that there are no results when this is a 1000 item search.

I'm having this issue also in Microsoft Edge. I can only access page one's results. Page two onwards displays 0 results. It isn't just eBay that is behaving like this. Discogs is also having the same issues. On an artist or label page, I'm able to see page one's results, but page two onwards shows no results in Microsoft Edge.

Hey try Internet Explorer. Sounds like a bad idea, but just try it and see if this rubbish of only pages 1- 9 displaying results and page 10 onwards no results. It is the Crome and Firefox browsers that are doing this in eBay and Discogs and Internet Explorer lets me see every result on every page while Edge only lets me see page one only.

Reformat your Windows PC and reinstall Windows and that should get rid of any bad cookies in the regestration of Windows. Get back to us once you've tried reformatting the computer and reinstalling Windows and Microsoft Edge. Bad Google cookies.
