why have there been numerous attempted hacks into my account resuting in many changes to my password

Since we changed our payment method over to the new direct payment to bank account with ebay, there have been numerous suspicious attempts to log in to our account. This has resulted in at least 5 different changes to our password as soon as ebay notifies us; the last change lasted only 24 hours!!

Can you please advise as to what can be done about this and why it is happening

You might be better asking eBay (who do not read any posts here, despite the blurb)

BUT, was the original notification this happened really from eBay?

Did you click on a link sent in an email?

If so, is it  possible it was a phising /scam email ?  was the notification also in your eBay messages?
