Hey BadBundybear i feel where your coming from as this just the start of the never ceasing b/s around here..

BUYER!! buyer this buyer that! without main stream sellers/small guy there will be no more aust ebay.. Not enough time or thought is put into the people that really make ebay what it is i.e an auction site that needs auctions ie sellers to operate..
Not Buy it now listings that are high priced to cope with the fees of selling it. Time after time i have seen auction listings sell for way more than buy it now fixed price items. But then your trying to tell us to meet 'buyer demand' we need to have more fixed price format.. Tell me that people dont use ebay for the thrill of auction..the hunt..the chase to 'get lucky'..thats what buyers want.

I am from the younger generation where change is constant and inevitable and usually better but this is not better, this is sending ebay downhill..and fast...
In conclusion as i said in the start i feel for you badbundybear i am in a similar situation with ebay/pp.. where i have too sold a substantial amount and have paid very high fees similar to yours not including pp fees but i have luxury of having my pp account frozen after hundreds of transactions due to 1 lazy buyer who im sure is a mute as he cannot communicate with me but can with pp to get his $ back without a single message, to me needs to walk his arse to the post office and go get it where it has been sitting for the two weeks..

WHAT U R TELLING US, blue*nile IS THAT eBay SYSTEMS R NOT 'USER FRIENDLY', I AGREE, the DINOSAUR has CREATED a MONSTER, TAKE 'Best Match' in SEARCH (Any Serch will Default to THAT, will be 'SORTED BY' THAT, by 'BEST MATCH' !!!), HOW CRAZY IS THAT ???

hi.. so glad to see you agree with me.. possibly i am blaming sellers when in some cases as youve said it is the ebay system that is not stopping people from making these kinds of mistakes/choices..

i have wondered about best match myself.. how can any robotic system determine a best match for anyones search when we are given so many variables to choose from ourselves!

thanks 🙂

MY TOPICS KEEP BEING REMOVED BUT ANYWAY I AM GOING TO TELL THIS STORY BECAUSE I FEEL SICK!!

What a kick in the guts i got today! so much for the new estimated shipping policy! I got 4 Negative feed backs because i would not refund a buyer. What a joke! Products were shipped within 2 days as listed in my estimated shipping. She contacted me Saturday the day of her event! WHERES MY PARTY SUPPLIES? What where ha! They are probably at the post office waiting for your collection! Oh bad luck now its Saturday! Der! Perhaps you should have checked there during the week or maybe emailed us and we could have advised you of that! But no SATURDAY! Day of the Party! So smart! and GUESS WHAT THEY WERE AT THE POST OFFICE! Then i get bad feedback!! Come on its all a joke.

incredibly unfair for you! .. where is ebay in making informed decisions on unfair feedback removal..

I would like to see implementation of immediate positive feedback for buyers that make an IMMEDIATE payment on items!
Too many times have I missed out on feedback because the seller doesn't feel like leaving it for their customers, I see that as unfair since I've just spent my hard earned dollars on a seller's item(s).
I feel that feedback is part of the transaction and I now wait for the seller to leave feedback for me, if the seller fails to do so then I will simply leave negative feedback for not being satisfied with an incomplete transaction.

i dont exactly think thats fair. possibly some sellers dont know how important feedback is to some buyers..a few buyers on here have said they dont consider it a big deal.. i hope you mention to the sellers that you will do that if they dont leave feedback for you as you do take it seriously before leaving them neg.

Has anyone else noticed how hard it is to find this thread or is just me? OR has ebay decided that it make no difference what we say or think about the changes as they are making too much money. Bookmark it and keep in touch.

after doing my usual searches for the last few weeks , i doubt many buyers or sellers even read the ebay updates let alone the forum!

there are still so many sellers not using the free gallery pic & when i email them they are surprised!!

not all newbies either ..

maybe ebay is aware of the exact percentage of buyers & sellers actually not reading the updates so the impact of any changes is not felt by them ..

:)

9.41 % of your turnover is EXHORBITANT when one considers what one gets for that, a virtual platform, very, very little in actual fact, no 'brick & mortar' here, so, it should be totally accessible, unless, some decide to line their pockets, of course, decide to take more than they give, decide to be... GREEDY...

Hey Blue*nile
What do you mean by "just when you think you have seen it all?" and yes paypal did help as i had all the proof i needed and my account is now unfrozen, it was just a shock as i was down internet access last week for 48hrs and in that time the buyer had almost hit the final step in the refund process. and the thing is that it's not a $2.50 item more like 2k.

I have seen seller after seller crumble and still ebay are only thinking of the buyer, i do understand where buyers are comeing from but also understand if you make all the right choices as a buyer ie seller item and finally and most importantly pay with paypal if you don't get your item you will get your money back.

.../...
& I should have added: eBay retain a WHOPPING 20% of the value of the final bid when I list, as I had always done, with 'feature plus' -so that my art does not disappear in a sea of foreign 'carp'-, i.e. my Pro Hart painting sells for $500, I give eBay over $100 (even before PayPal fees, if the buyer decides to pay with this eBay owned mean of payment), between the coloured, bold, surround, etc... the exhorbitant 'category featured listing' -$49.95, now, used to be prior to Sept 2011, $19.95...- and the obscene FVF almost $40.00 ! Add to this the cost of an original work of art by a legend the likes of Pro HArt, not really cheap, the cost of the framing (qualkity will cost another $100, minimum), and here you have it: I now WORK my a... out for... eBay ... Or, will I ???
