Changes to meet buyer demand on eBay.com.au (26/07/2011)

yes, I agree with my fellow human beings above, the management at eBay, have lost all sense of compassion, empathy, they are shaking the foundations of human decency, for one single reason, as a global on-line business, there is no one to check on what they do, what they allow themselves to inflige upon others, their decision are without appeal, cannot be re-considered, altered, even criticized, all motivated by greed and the return to their shareholders. eBay do not invest in their business, they are after 'dividends' for their shareholders, otherwise my item which ended last night at 22.21 would have ended at the 21.21 I had requested, I pay for a service they cannot provide, that ending time is important to me, I pay $55.00 in listing fees + an exhorbitant final value fee for a reason, should be clear -& common sense- but eBay are of no help when it comes to adjusting the change to summer time in NSW, they will not adjust to suit my requiremesnts, I have told them for now 5 years, we pay for what when selling on eBay? Very, very little, except for an 'established platform' allowing people to purcahase & sell, in other words, we are sold by eBay ourselves, a virtual product at great cost to us (the actual costs of running their business are tiny in proportion to their turnover i.e.the Philipines staff, etc..) so, we pay to line the pockets of the shareholders, the President and others who allow such non sense as 'Best Match' (!), fees increases 'out of this world' and all together abuse us. When will you invest in your business eBay? When will let my listings end at the time I request they end when we are changing clocks to allow for seasonal change? When will you give a human dimension to your business, without the law enforcement agencies and our politicians regulating such business as yours? When, in the name of 'greed' will you stop allowing everything and anything to 'go', in total contempt of our race, the human race?

Changes to meet buyer demand on eBay.com.au (26/07/2011)

Just off the phone to E bay customer servive and need to vent some anger!!!!!
I decided I no longer wanted to be a powerseller as it has no benefit to me as a seller at all and excludes me from 30 free listings per month.
I was told that I cant 'opt' out of the program - once a powerseller always a powerseller. Nice customer service gentleman told me 'that loophole has now been closed'.
So I wonder, were there lots of powersellers trying to opt out of the program with the new fee structure?????
He did kindly suggest that I open a new account to sell with so I could be elligible for the 30 free listings per month - ha ha ha.
Nice one e bay - make me be part of a program I dont want to be in!!!

eBay have told me that they will review the status of Power Sellers on the 20th of October and if you do not qualify (100 sales a year/98% positive feedback, etc...) you will not remain a Power Seller, that is what their customer service staff told me over the telephone.

Oh dear timone, you will incur the wrath of the MIGHTY EBAY MACHINE for mentioning the name of another auction site, just as I did last week.

Watch out for the threatening email and watch your post magically disappear!

thats just typical,FEES ARE GOING UP AGAIN FOR SELLERS.... ebay thinks more of there buyers than there SELLERS AGAIN!!!,FIRST it was only buyers can give neg feedback and sellers cant!!............... I selll on average 200 items per month as a casual seller and get stung AGAIN with higher fvf , I am just about over ebay and there fees after 9 yrs of being on ebay as a seller , i bet if i deregister my ebay account ebay will miss the $8 - 900 per month i am giving them at present in listing & fvf ebay fees ,ebay seem to forget that without sellers there would be no buyers logging onto ebay to bid......THINK EBAY THINK!!!!...... i am looking elswhere to sell my items as we speak !!!!

This new price structure is a killer for those of us sellers working on small profit margins. Unless your profit margin is at very least 20%, it's just not worth using any longer. Even sales with a 20% profit means you pay almost half of this in fees 😞

Also more expensive now when selling multiple items as you still need to pay for your listing and then be slugged another 7.9% on FVF

Ebay.....ATTENTION PLEASE!!!!!

You are killing off us casual, small profit sellers that use your site to make a few extra dollars.

I dont know about everyone else, but how stupid does ebay think we are. they own paypal and now they have changed the pricing structure to their advantage so that means a seller is not only oaying higher ebay fees they are also paying the paypal fee. Work it out you dont get anything for nothing. I am going to look at other sites. Shame Ebay Shame

eBay management gives Americans a bad name, where on earth can a business who sell only 'virtual goods' (!) increase his prices by 150% ('Featured Plus'), 50% (FVF) ? In the USA, ONLY in America will you get this sort of treatment, of arrogance, abruptly, without a single word of apology, very American, isn't it?
