Just found this posted on my FaceBook Timeline. Does anyone know if it is just for the US stores or will we get the same here AU? 'Free listings* for all sellers! '

I guess it is just for sellers in the US. Would be nice though!

It seems to be only the USA stores and accounts as we certainly haven't had any emails or notices on eBay Australia to state that we are getting this. Hopefully they will follow suit with Australian account very soon. They also still have 3 levels of stores where as we only have one.
I'd certainly drop back to a basic store with 250 free listings each month if it came in here.

That should have been 'they have three levels of stores and we only have two'.

Loads of other changes in US being introduced this year including a reduction in payment time to only two days, before a dispute can be opened, as well as introducing a no finalised sale til payment is made for some buy-it-nows and auctions. As they have a checkout system they can pull it off - not so over here, we are a long behind.

These are the Spring Seller changes in the USA starting 1st July. Maybe we will get them later. However one important change is to pictures in the listing. They must be minimum 500 pixels on the longer side, no borders and nothing written on them. There is talk it may be here by the end of the year. I will have a lot of resizing to do.:_|

-- and be careful what you wish for, the reason that ebay USA can bring in 2 day payment deadline is that all payments must go thru paypal or another online facilitator, no bank deposits,
also remember that ebay usa charge a Final Value Fee on the whole transaction, so a $5 book that costs $6.60 to post means a fvf on 11.60 not $5... ๐ฎ do you really want that here instead of a listing fee??

As I posted, we are so far behind.
We have FVF increases anyway by stealth using Free Post incentives etc I would rather something more transparent.
Bank deposits just present such a risk to online buyers that it is astounding :O:O
I love choice, but paying money into someones bank that I do not know, with no protection- not on your life.
Will be great when a few of our banks catch up with global trends and start to develop products that can compete with paypal.

I just sent a question to eBay Australia asking about this. Here's what I wrote:-
Hello, Is there any chance that eBay Australia will be making changes to the fee and store structure similar to what has just occurred in the USA over the past few days?? Our store prices and inclusions are incredibly expensive compared to the prices and benefits that the USA receives.
And here's the automated response I got that did not even answer the question:-
