Selecting the correct postage service for your items is important to providing a great eBay buying experience. The handling time and service you select in your listing allows eBay to make the most accurate prediction when providing delivery estimates.

Always select the service that best suits the item your sending (i.e. If you ship your item with Toll, then select “Toll Consumer Delivery” as the shipping service in your item’s listing.)

A guide to posting your orders to Australia and the world

For domestic orders

For international orders

Standard Parcel Delivery and Express Parcel Delivery are tracked services. This means if you select this service in the listing and the buyer selects this service at checkout, a tracking number should be uploaded to eBay when the item is shipped.

For domestic orders that are being sent in an untracked letter service, you should select the Australia Post Domestic Regular Letter Untracked service or the Australia Post Domestic Priority Letter Untracked service.

Standard International Flat Rate Postage is a tracked service. This means if you select this service in the listing and the buyer selects this service at checkout, a tracking number should be uploaded to eBay when the item is shipped.

For international orders that are being sent as untracked, you should select the service that best represents how you are shipping your items. This includes the Australia Post International Economy Sea or Australia Post International Economy Air. If you are sending with the Australia Post International Registered letter service, please select the Australia Post International Economy Air service.

For international orders being sent untracked and via a carrier other than Australia Post, you can select the International Economy: untracked service.

Selecting the right postage service also impacts your payments

A reminder that the postage service you selected may impact the new tracking payment holds policy.  From 7 February 2022, if sellers don’t upload valid tracking for at least 95% of their trackable orders, their payments will be placed on hold.

A trackable order is determined by what service the buyer selects at checkout. Therefore it is important you are selecting the most accurate postage service in the item’s listing.
