Why does Ebay permit sellers to lie to buyers by indicating that the item they are purchasing is actually located in Australia? These asians are deceitful to the extreme just because they register an Australian office address with Ebay they trade out...

I bid a maximum bid which is twice as much as any other bid at the moment and have seen the same item for a lot less. I would like to reduce my maximum bid somewhat so that I can get value for money. How do I reduce my maximum bid?
