i have received a second chance offer which i took up, great apparently the winner chose not to go ahead with the purchase.. But when i look I see that there were 4 other bidders higher than me some of which were quite a lot higher, how come??

I have just bought an item from France and paid via paypal, which the seller has so far not claimed. The problem is the communication from the seller is in french!!! ???
