I have just opened a store with 600 listings. why am I being charged $3..30 per listing

You have to wonder, especially with the OP's demonstrated (from feedback) level of experience.

Admittedly literacy and numeracy seem to be a dying arts.

Did the OP think that by closing the store within a week that'd save the fee?
