Is there a way to report a seller when you haven't bought anything from them?

Hi There

Is there a way of reporting a seller.  I suspect this seller is selling fraudulently.  They have listed a jewellery item as solid sterling silver and I contacted them TWICE to ensure it is in fact SOLID sterling silver and not just plated.

The first time they answered they said it is sterling silver to which I replied, that wasn't the question I asked.  I asked is it SOLID sterling silver and not just another metal PLATED with sterling silver.  They replied again saying "I ALREADY TOLD YOU ALL ITEMS ARE STERLING SILVER WITH PURITY OF 850 TO 925 OF 1000"  and AGAIN avoided confirming whether the item was indeed SOLID sterling silver or just plated. I asked them a third time for clarification but have not heard from them since.

I suspect they might list their item as solid when it is NOT actually solid so are fraudulently describing the item.  They are refusing to let me know either way, it being a very simple "YES/NO" answer to confirm that it is SOLID sterling silver and the item is not just PLATED with sterling silver.

Please let me know if I can have this seller investigated at all.

thankyou

There is a report this item link on every listing.

According to Ebays Terms and Condition, sellers assume all responsibility for a listing. This does not mean that what they are listing is accurate, whether it be through ignorance or intention. That being said, buyers have the protection of the MBG if the item is not as described.

What is the sellers rating/feedback like? Are there any red flags about quality?

Are they registered in Australia (you can see this in their feedback page).

Or give us an item number to look at ourselves.

Have a look here (scroll down), but make sure it is a real violation that justifies reporting the seller.

In all likelyhood they have blocked you from buying/bidding, in which case they may no longer be receiving your messages, or at least see no point in further communication.

As you state they have the item listed as solid sterling silver, what makes you assume it is not.

I believe the seller answered when they replied -  I ALREADY TOLD YOU ALL ITEMS ARE STERLING SILVER WITH PURITY OF 850 TO 925 OF 1000"

I don't know what more you want.

Seller will have blocked you by now, as said, so move on.

Re: Is there a way to report a seller when you haven't bought anything from them?

I have explained why in the original post.  I have had purchases listed as solid sterling silver before and they were not.  I have asked the seller THREE times very clearly to tell me if the listing is in fact SOLID sterling silver and NOT just plated.

They have not answered me directly, just said it is STERLING SILVER and not answered me directly with a clear YES it IS SOLID SS or NO it is only plated with sterling silver.

They're avoidance of a simple direct question which is easily answered and has been asked THREE times very plainly and directly, indicated they are not being up front and their item is as described in the listing.  It is a SIMPLE yes/no question and my question has been asked very clearly.

Re: Is there a way to report a seller when you haven't bought anything from them?

I want my question answered.  They have not answered it.  They keep telling me it is sterling silver but avoid MY question which asks them very simple IS IT SOLID sterling silver or just plated as I have bought items that state they are solid in the listing but are only plated.

So I want my question answered which if you had read my question and what it actually IS would see the seller has not actually answered.  They just keep repeating it is sterling silver.  That does not answer whether or not it is SOLID sterling silver and NOT just plated with sterling silver.

So the more I want is an ACUTAL answer to MY question!!!

It would help if you gave us the item number (RHS of the listing page)
