Hi everyone, will keep this short and sweet.
I bought 2 hoverboard scooters from a seller (not cheap!)
They are coming up with all sorts of excuses saying can you wait or would you like something else.
Now they are saying the item I bought (which had more than a few in stock at time of buy it now) is no longer vailable.
They have sent me an email to another mode, dearer (of course) and it is an outside link, to a non supported site.
There is no ebay buer protection, nor even Paypal and for an amount of over $500 bucks that has already been paid to them through ebay/afterpay, they are now saying pay another $500+.
I have looked all day for 'help' through ebay but are getting nowhere with it!
Solved! Go to Solution.

omg seriously??? am happy to share here what was said in pm's as it is not as bad as you are making it out to be. I have not wished you bad luck, nor that you lose $550 bucks.
And you wonder why I called you vile. Yes peeps that was the name calling.......... wow

Anyway thank you for advice on here, when I joined I agreed to not identify the sellers by joining.
So I was hesitant to answer those sorts of questions surrounding item numbers etc. I have not used a forum/discussion board at all in my life, and after this encounter quite possibly will never do so again.
I have a feedback score of 22 which suggests I am new.
I joined the forum 4 hours ago and thought when I posted that my post would need approval first (like other pages can do). So yes that suggests I am new as well.
I had to ring my son to find out how to get back to my message if it is even posted as of yet, who said go back to main header link i commented under, and it was only then I seen the replies.I have always tried to treat people with respect throughout my life, yes even people I do not know.
I think there are a few that can a page out of this 'newbies' book.
I am astounded at the way some people speak to others, not just on here but I never expected it here by people with such HIGH posting scores like they have.
I wondered why my post elicited this off topic reply but let it slide as you are new to the boards, as you take pains to point out.
However, coming back today I can see that you have no idea of how things work so will attempt to explain a few things.
You are right that it is unaceptable to name and shame on the boards. The reason for this is that posters often get the IDs wrong and essentially destroy the reputation of an innocent member....sometimes a member who is not even a seller.
However, item numbers are different. You cannot post them in the title of the thread but you can post them in answer to a responder's question.
Members often ask questions but give insufficient information for responders to give a comprehensive answer.
The item number can give us information such as where the seller is registered, where the item is supposed to be located, what the seller's handling time is, what shipping service is offered.....the list goes on. All of this has a bearing on the help we can give.
The responders here are volunteer members who give freely of their time and knowledge to help new members. We are not ebay employees and we are not paid for our services.
We are not obliged to answer any questions.
You requested urgent help and I have known answers to be posted within minutes of the question being asked. You chose to disappear and not come back for 3 hours. By that time there were a number of answers but a request for more information in the form of an item number. You decided a poster was rude because she got frustrated trying to work out which item you were talking about while you were posting about the rudeness of responders. She was not alone in her frustration.
The very first answer told you how to get your money back when you believed you had lost it. It was good enough to be marked by you as being helpful but now you have decided it was not helpful? Why? Have you followed the advice?
You keep asserting how new you are to ebay....I don't consider 37 purchases in a year is particularly new. You have been around long enough to know how things work.
Yes, you are new to the boards but in those circumstance I would have thought it polite to find out how things work and not jump in and accuse high volume posters (including me I presume?) of being rude because they chide you for not coming back for answers when you requested urgent help.
It is not acceptable to use the PM system to abuse other members.....and yes, calling someone vile is abuse in the ebay world as well as in real life. As someone who professes to be so polite to others I think you should look in the mirror.....and it is against posting policy to post the content of PMs, even if you sent them.
You have certainly done yourself no favours in your first 2 days on the boards.

Since you have now marked your own post as the solution to your question and removed the other 2 "solutions" can I take it that you no longer need furthur help ?

I suspect the OP isn't the neophyte they claim to be.
They threatened to go away yesterday, but...
