Several things.
Did you remove the listing? It is easy - you select 'end item'. If you didn't do that then the listing would still be extant. In which case, you are the one at fault. Cancel using 'out of stock' and take the hit.
Have you registered for managed payments?
Does the sale show in your eBay account?

Cancel, as Dave says, using out of stock option.
Buyer will get their money back.
Otherwise, you'll be paying ebay thousands of dollars in fees for something that doesn't exist.

@leonkve,
It sounds as though you’ve had a rough time. Having the item stolen must have been distressing, and from what you’ve said I suspect you’re not familiar with how eBay works nowadays.
• First of all, if you have a listing on eBay, don’t assume that the listing will automatically end.
Quoting: ❝Buy It Now (fixed price) listings are set to Good 'Til Cancelled duration by default. This means your listing will renew automatically every month until it sells or you end it.❞
See more in this link:

• Secondly, as davewil has pointed out, to remove any item you have listed for sale on eBay, you yourself should specifically end the listing. See the details in this link:
— https://www.ebay.com.au/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/canceling-listing?id=4146
• Thirdly, I don’t think you realise how selling and disbursement of funds works on eBay. If the last time you actually sold anything on eBay is some years ago, it’s changed significantly. Sellers no longer get the payment directly from the buyer; rather, the buyer’s payment is processed by eBay’s in-house payment system (through Adyen), and those funds are subsequently disbursed to the seller when certain conditions are met.
For “new” sellers (including those who haven’t sold for a while, and irregular sporadic sellers), there will be a hold on funds for the purpose of fraud/scam mitigation.
The funds will only be disbursed to sellers who are registered for Managed Payments (MP), as the new payment process is called. Part of that involves verifying both the bank account for disbursement of funds (via the login credential method or via the microdeposit method) AND the individual seller’s ID (using drivers licence or passport, for instance). No verification = no funds. Make sure you have registered and been verified if you plan to sell anything on eBay from here on. See link below:

• Fourthly, in this case, it’s too late to end the listing as it appears to have sold. You’ll need instead to cancel the transaction, otherwise eBay will come after you for the Final Value Fee. See how to do this in the link below:

You can reach eBay CS reps via Live Chat (bottom of any help page), but you’ll almost always get excellent and possibly more informed help by asking on these community discussion boards.
It would be good if you could post an update here, as it will help others if they can see you were able to solve your issue. Let us know if this helps.
