Bid not recorded correctly

Last evening I placed a bid on an item inside ten seconds prior cut-off but the amount recorded by the system was far less than my max. bid. The declared winning bid on the item was placed 2 seconds after my bid and less than half of my max. bid.  I doubled checked my max. bid prior to sending. What went wrong? I tried to contact ebay but no responce.

If so, your maximum bid appears to be $82 and the winning bid $102.50.

Yes, but my Max. Bid was $209.00 - that’s the issue

Have you read the answer given by gutterpunkz.....it appears to be what happened as your bid is only registered as $82.00

There used to be a problem, in that if you went back to verify your bid amount before placing it, that it would in effect clear any maximum  bid you had set and simply increase the current bid by 1 increment.
