I reckon ebay staff found THEIR inspiration from the 'socks' thread :^O:^O

And they have also removed the Listing Designer (background themes) even customer support didn't find out about that until yesterday - they are working on something new and it's so eBay Oz can keep in line with other eBay sites in the world - I am really cranky about this

They can shove their new #%&@ !
I mainly look at a few things and refuse to waste my time looking at extra things just because ebay hope I'll buy them and help them to make more revenue.

I'm starting to think they had a regressive therapy session, developed an inferiority complex (cos of all the funky new sites offering buyers cool things), and are dealing with it by reading children's books, hence where all their new ideas come from.
The Little Engine That Could (Cassini, it tries hard, maybe if we all chant encouraging "chug-a-lugs" and "I think I can, I think I can..." we all might get somewhere, eventually - woo-oo.
I looked for charms in the shape of a cat,
and there came Dr Seuss' eBay's feed of hats
do you like this fluffy g-string and ribbon
or this funny picture of a gibbon
we think you do, we think it's grand
we think you need help searching
so we're giving you a hand
I don't want fluffy g-strings
Why are they showing me these things?
I do not like ribbons and gibbons
(well, maybe I do, but I'm not looking for them now)
Sure you are, they said, we'll show you how!

I wouldn't use it for many reasons. Like others, my bookamrk is on Selling Manager Pro.
For anyone coming directly to the site it is just a big mess of pictures and very hard to view.
They would be better having it as an optional tab & not the home page cos it looks dreadful.

If eBay wanted to connect me with what I love they'd send me somewhere warm and sunny with lots of sandy beaches.
I rarely look at the front page as I login directly to My eBay but I have edited the feed to show items I regularly search for.
What I don't like about the new search is the placement of "People who viewed this item also viewed" with pics and links to similar items from other sellers in the middle of the listing. It's hard enough for sellers to get buyers to find their listing but now when they open the listing they're prompted to check out other listings before they even scroll down to the description box!

I actually like it ๐
When I'm bored, or just watching some telly of an evening, I'll browse around to see what's available. Sometimes I can't think of something to search for so this is kinda neat.
Plus, I get bored easy, so I like change ๐
Now if only eBay would let us use capital letters in our usernames!
