China's list of sanctions and tariffs on Australian trade is growing. Here's what has been hit so far; barley, beef and lamb, wine, cotton, seafood, timber and coal. Wheat, wool, sugar and copper ore look like they will be next. All because Ping didn’t want an investigation done into where Covid started from. While Ping is playing these games, the least I can buy from China, the better. It's stupid cause some of my best and long time mates are Chinese. They were also in the Eureka Stockade, fighting with us against the British tyranny at the time.

What's the secret of their longevity? They'd be 190 by now. They aren't really Chinese if their families have been in Australia for that long.

So do you want Made In, or Country of Origin, to be made mandatory, two entirely different things, and most buyers will simply be confused trying to keep up.
Made In China - COR Australia, Japan, USA etc etc etc etc etc

There is a filter in the search - "Country/Region of Manufacture" -, but I guess it works based on the listings, so if the listings do not specify the country of manufacture, it is useless.

Then perhaps there should be a ' little box ' - that states where the item is made.
Location - Made In - etc

I thought everything was made in China these days.
Even my German engineered Wertheim vacuum cleaner is made in China.

I am not a seller, but I have seen the country of manufacture listed in the "item specifics" - sometimes (or maybe I should say "occasionally").

OK - I really give up. lol
The Hills Hoist has been manufactured in Adelaide, South Australia by Lance Hill since 1945. However, it is now manufactured in China. The Hills Hoist and similar rotary clothes hoists remain a common fixture in many backyards in Australia and New Zealand.

Many designer brands are now manufactured in China, and the price of the items is still the same... 🤔

Yes, but made in china under licence for brand name in COO, then again you have,( made in assembled in for brand in COO)
Then again we get into composites japanese cars made with some parts manufactured in china and then again those same parts when replaced are made in china.
Nike shoes from memory may be made in China, Vietnam or India but COO is USA
