Anyone else try to buy a $20 item during ebay’s bday sale?

A relative who has ebay plus tried but found the items were sold out before the codes became available - even after constant refreshing. There’s talk that bots were buying up these items. When the code came up for the google home hub it was already sold out, same for the Bose headphones.

They were sold out before the code for the discount was even available. The code for the Bose headphones didn’t even show up on the ebay daily deals page. I’m not the only one thinking something suss happened.

Plus I’ve seen the above info you posted. I saw the sold out info for Bose at 2.02pm. It was showing when the discount code never showed up.

I was able to buy when I got the code. Some BOSE headphones. Not all items were purchased by bots. It would kind of defeat the purpose if the bots bought everything.
