Why wouldn't buyers want to know why their postage cost is going to increase by 10% next month?

They have drop down search selection for that - price + postage lowest first.

This is simply a grab for more fees

So if I do combined postage for a customer I can offer a discount to make up for the unused postage component.

Ebay will then of course reduce the FVF as well hmmmm?

I see no mention of that in their announcement.

the mods put it here...besides,alot of buyers come here so it makes sense to show them why items on ebay are going up in prices for buyers and prob cheaper to buy in a shop.

I read that reason for signing our petition on facebook, isn't it sad, it is a very sad world eBay has in the pipeline for us, shame on you eBay, you CANNOT eat money, remember:

And of course, because why would a yarn seller add the cost of postage into their product price - (a) it would make a ball of yarn an outrageous price and (b) how would you offer your buyer combined postage for multiple purchases from multiple listings? Which is what yarn buyers do. With the final value fee on postage - Buyers lose, Sellers lose and eventually eBay will also lose because they will be killing the Goose that laid the Golden Eggs! >

I am not only a SELLER but a BUYER also.

Due to the 'new fee' structure being introduced on May 6th - I WILL NOT BE BUYING.

eBay are going to charge SELLERS not only a fee to list ( yes, I know about stores - the cost covers the so called FREE LISTINGS per month), a fee to sell ( Final Value Fee ), and now a fee on the postage - packaging & handling costs ( a service they do not provide & have no control over.

PayPal charge a fee on the whole of the sale - including postage.

THE POINT IS EBAY HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGING SELLERS TO OFFER 'FREE POSTAGE' - THIS IS A DOWNRIGHT ILLEGAL PRACTICE.

TRY THE ACCC.

There is no FREE POSTAGE - THE POSTAGE IS 'INCLUDED'.

I WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM A SELLER OFFERING 'FREE POSTAGE' - LACK OF INTEGRITY.

IN FACT I WILL NOT BUY ON EBAY AGAIN.

No mention of those fees on postage in 2008, no, the debacle was debacle enough as was, PayPal attempt was unconscionable.

It would have seen eBay being taken over by its opposition, as they are now risking it, we are not in the land of the 'created equals' only, ourselves, we have tried and fought very hard to maintain that 'equality'....
