Hi,
I dealt with a seller who failed in communicating with me when the item that i had purchase was meant to be shipped. When i finally got the item sent to me (two weeks later from purchased date), i left a negative feedback. Later that week the seller tried to contact me and has offered me free googles in exchange for for retracting my negative feedback which i have already left.
Just wanting to know if others have come across this from other sellers and if it is even allowed on ebay? also should i report this to ebay? because i have seen on other thread that people have reported to ebay with no action taken.

Funny how sellers who were just glib and dismissive, if they communicated at all, suddenly start communicating once NEG is left. I would only change FB if the offer did rectify my problem, but some problems just cannot be fixed = item being late for an occasion etc.
One of recent bad transactions offered discount on a future purchase; too funny, as if I would ever consider to buy from this .... ehmmm... person again!!! LOL

Unfortunately, eBay created this monster as sellers are so afraid of negative feedback they will do just about anything to avoid it.
However, as the item was received and I assume as described & in good condition I would consider revising your feedback as eBay is ( often unjustifiably) extremely harsh on sellers.
Perhaps the seller had an emergency or family problem which stopped them from sending immediately. Or, maybe they had computer problems.
Negative feedback really is for items not received & refunded, or different from description & not refunded & rudeness from the seller.
Maybe mark them low DSR for communication as that appears to be deserved.
