I have purchased thousands of dollars of goods from this seller. I have given them nothing but praise in feedback.
In Dec 2014 an order came wrong. No big deal. I left what I thought was an honest comment stating goods sent wrong. (Neutral Comment). They contacted me by phone and requested I change my comment to a Positive one. It all seamed simple enough, so I did. Now I have found that thier business tactics are to cut me off from purchasing.
I contacted them by phone only to recieve a barrage of negativity & threats. So I contacted Ebay & discussed with them what had transpired. Ebay does not seem interested in making sure sellers behave ethically. What a Shame.
So a message for the Seller & Ebay. I will now purchase a majority of goods from Amazon or Aliexpress.
Thanks for your support.

So sad, I've only had good experiences with them.
Not sure how long the seller's name will remain though, name and shame is not allowed here

Did you contact them at all when there was an issue to give them the chance to help you then or did you just leave the feedback?
You should not have agreed to change the feedback till you were happy with the outcome.
Just move on and look for another seller.
Sorry but expecting others to beware just because they chose the option to block you is pretty lame.
That is a seller choice as is your choice to leave the feedback you like whether they like it or not.

Neutral feedback is a big deal for sellers - eBay have decided to call it a transaction "defect", and defects impact a seller's account. They can lose Top Rated status, have their search rankings lowered, face account restrictions / limitations (both on eBay and PayPal), and even be suspended from selling permanently.
I don't mean this to come across as harsh, but if an issue is "no big deal", is it worth potentially causing that kind of damage to a seller? Defects remain even if FB is changed to a positive, as well.
In case it looks like it, I'm honestly not trying to guilt trip or anything here, my main issue with this system is with eBay and the way they've implemented it. I also know that many buyers don't have any idea of the impact neg / neut FB and low star ratings can have, but at the same time, sometimes people who don't know the potential impact of their actions are more dangerous than people who do.
Personally speaking, as a seller, I have blocked almost every single buyer who has caused a transaction defect, the ones I did choose to block all left FB without prior contact, and they were all about issues related to the buyer not paying attention to what they were buying (if I stuff up, I can accept that - but since I have a (moderate) right to refuse service, I definitely don't consider it unethical to minimise the risk of damage to my business from people who don't communicate and/or cause damage to my account for no good reason).

Hi, not being controversial or anything but it was your right to leave a neutral feedback for the transaction.
The seller also has the right to remove your buying ability from their business.
Ebay is a platform for buyer and sellers to connect and will not / do not make buyers and sellers act ethically. You werent happy with getting the wrong order and left a neutral. The sellers werent happy with that and have now blocked you from buying again.
Amazon & Aliexpress will be exactly the same.

Everyone is aware of the impact of negative feedback.
However, has the effect of neutral feedback changed? From memory, it doesn't affect the vendor's percentage rating, which is what buyers look at.
Joe.

A neutral does not impact on a seller's % rating but in ebay's eyes it is a non positive experience for the buyer and attracts defects for the seller which is much more important from ebay's perspective. It can cost the seller their selling privileges on ebay so it is far worse than losing the odd buyer who may actually look at the feedback.

Sellers have little or no input re delivery times once an item is posted or handed to a courier yet you hold them
accountable and arbitrarily neut, neg or try to rort them
A selection for the uninitiated click on the ops feedback score, select feedback left for others, then open the search at
the bottom to 200 feedbacks per page
neutral As described however the delivery could be quicker.

The silly thing is, if someone contacted that seller, all the feedback could be removed and the OP get a policy violation slap. Looks like he's going to make a lot of special lists after that revelation.
