I am posting on this forum to let people know how I feel about this private purchase of a sideboard that was advertised on eBay.
The sideboard was advertised on eBay as being approx 2.5 meters and because the description of the size was what I wanted, I made a bid. Before the auction ended, REMOVED contacted me about a second buyer who was also interested and asking if I was willing to beat him. I did and to show I was genuinely interested, I transferred the money the very same day.
That night while I was browsing through eBay I saw another one that looked exactly the same but with different measurements. I enquired about it and Sharon replied that it was only an estimation that she put on.
I don't know what's your definition of approximation is but to me the difference between 2.5m and 1.8m is too big to call it an approximation.
It's like going to a shop and pay for something but only get 2/3 of what you paid for.
REMOVE told me that she lost bidders because she pulled the list off eBay already. I offered that she could keep part of the money and refund the rest back to me. She refused.
I can provide the communication between her and me and I only wish no other ebayer has to go through what I went through with codyclarke13.
Maybe I was too trusting in vendors. Maybe I expected more from people selling things. There was probably no other buyer. It certainly wasn't 2.5m long. 30% error is not an approximation. It was a mistake. A mistake that she should have paid for - not me. Do not trust her. Her word means nothing.

Trebuchet
Can't do one of them; too complicated.
I have sent you the 3 month old perishable contents of my fridge by CATAPULT, though.
Ps: The white stuff in the milk cartons is now allegedly yoghurt.

If you're sending that, I'll send what I found in the crisper the other day. I can't say what it is because I have absolutely no idea! All I know is that it's sort of liquid, in a plastic bag and a kind of brown colour. It might go well with your yoghurt?

Have you bought a lettuce any time in the last 3 months and forgotten about it? That description sounds very like a wayward lettuce that somehow got out of the crisper and ended up in the fast chill zone of my fridge. When it defrosted it was a brown soupy mush.![]()

Seems that same sideboard was already sold on the 18th October, Funnily enough the buyer also bought another table from her that was also relisted and sold 2 days later.
I have a bag of brown juice, think it was a zuchini in a former life.

I thought the sideboard had been ended to sell to the OP, but it looks like the auction finished, being sold to a different buyer and then they probably had the transaction cancelled on them to sell it to the OP. It all looks really sus to me.
I think the brown juice was a couple of yellow button squash in a former life. Either that or some Brussels Sprouts. Although more like the former as sprouts don't last long in my house. I don't normally use the crisper as the drawers are really sticky and hard to get in and out, which is probably why I forgot something was in there. I think even forensics would have had trouble determining what was in there!

, (non-refundable) bribes can be sent via Western Union to RHJP Corp Pty........
Rotten fruit sent by AP or Trebuchet will not be tolerated by said Judge, however cases of 15yo single barrel bourbon will be.........
The RHJP has deliberated long and hard over this convoluted case and has decided that the charges against Kopes and Stalks be thrown out due to mitigating circumstances.
HOWEVER bench warrants have been issued for tippy, twyngyn, pimpernel, lyndal and davewil for disrupting the course of justice (and making said Judge too scared to open his fridge, or stand in his front yard) AND cathyjoyjoy is hereby warned for indulging in frivolous hilarity at the expense of the aformentioned judge.
A meeting of the brave and loyal Muskies will be announced soon to work out ways to apprehend the above mentioned scallywags.

If you've paid for it and can't get any satisfaction from the seller, tell them you are picking it up.
Whatever you do, don't just forget it and forfeit that amount of money.
I agree with you, the measurements are an insult. It's not good enough to say 2.5 metres if it isn't even 2 metres. A cm or two out, yes, I can understand that could happen, but not more than half a metre. That's sloppy.
I'd be furious too.
Pick it up (you can always resell it), you might still make a loss but not as much of one.
Give the seller a neg and one star on everything. Absolutely everything. Don't leave the stars blank, give her one star.

I'll warrant your bench can't hold my weight.
Especially if I bring my fridge catapult along.
