I bought an item from country NSW area, when my item arrived here in Adelaide, although it was bubble wrapped securely, the item was damaged. It was a two set Coin Album, minus the coins. On the second set the binder was split from the top down about 4 ". The Seller was happy for me to return the item to him, at my cost, once it was explained why the return. Was told that as these Albums came from the USA
sealed in bubble wrap, and were not opened by him. Okay, l understand that. No problem there.
If l want another set sent out to me again, l have to pay postage again, so this makes three lots of postage @ $7.90 = $23.70 l would have spent in postage, on a $29.95 item, seems a bit rich to me.
I would think that the Seller, should share some of this cost to me, or have l got it all wrong ???
What to do others think ???

take a photo copy of the postage receipt and then send the original to the seller.
Or, if you both need the original (as I suspect the seller does), a notorized copy of the receipt will suffice.
I meant by post if you don't have another way to get the receipt to the seller.

So was it an off eBay sale or not ?
If it was, is it the buyer or the seller who has breached protocol ??
Either way - wouldn't a phone call out of courtesy have negated all this ??

There is no breach of protocol, the buyer purchased the items on their own from our website, we have many buyers use our own website. But I think the OP just got their wires crossed as to where they purchased it, as they have used ebay with us in the past. Hence why they started communicating through the ebay message system.
That being said, the communication we had was more than pleasant and cooperative, I was just surprised to see a complaint here when none had been made directly to us.
OP is always welcome to contact us by email, which he would have recieved his order confirmation from, or call us by phone during busniness hours.

I did what *crickey*mate suggested, to the letter, and have emailed the Posting receipt to the Seller. All good here.
Yes, l got my wires a bit crossed on this whole transaction, and as l have already openly stated, " I accept FULL responsibility for the misunderstanding." The Seller, was only asking from me, what by ATO requirements, he needs for Business Tax Return. I have no problem with this Seller, and will continue to Buy from him in the future.
Let us put this whole issue "to bed" please. !!!!! Thank you all.
and you are...???
or have we mixed up our id's ? LOL
