Buy it Now transaction

Must be freaky saturday.

I just clicked BIN on an item,it took me to checkout where for some reason there was only 1 payment option when I normally have 4 options.

The option was PayPal but it was only payable by visa what the?

I normally pay with PayPal but it comes out of my bank account.

So ebay have for some reason removed all my other payment options,don't know why.

The payment was pending which made me scratch my head lol.

Then when I went and checked my PayPal there was no transaction for it.

Then the transaction has disappeared as if I didn't even purchase the item.

I've contacted the seller and explained what happened and if they cancelled the transaction for any reason,just waiting for an answer.

Has anyone else had their payment options with ebay removed?

Kollektor, that is a horrible situation.

You've already had previous experience of being treated unjustly, and now once again it seems that something untoward has happened.

Can you think about what might be contributing factors? Things such as... how many items you've purchased recently; what sort of items you've purchased recently; whether you've sold items recently (and if so, the details thereof); any issues or problems with any of your purchases; any issues or problems with payments.

Could someone have made a vindictive report?

I agree too that you'll want to check whether or not your account was hacked.

Have you spoken with eBay about protecting your account? Given that it's possible your account was taken over (as you are unaware of any breach on your part), you could try contacting them both by the Have us call you (possible hacked account) and by the Protecting Your Account phone number.

Has access to your bank accounts been blocked.  Years ago my bank detected a suspicious transaction on one of my accounts.

They tried to contact me by phone but were unsuccessfull, so they blocked access to my accounts.  First I knew was when I tried

to use my card at an ATM,  didn't think too much about it until I realised that I could not use any online facilities.

Yes tippy it was a stupid security breach that had nothing to do with being hacked by someone else, it was due to me changing my bank details and then trying to purchase with these new details and being blocked because my old details were not removed from my automatic payment schedule and the new details were not set as my preferred so the system automatically blocked all of my online purchasing.

What I had to do was go into PP and remove the old and replace with the new lol which I didn't know I had to do.

So basically it looked like I was trying to purchase with an invalid method which in fact I did do this but not knowing this was the issue lol.

So security kicked in and blocked everything,but it's all resolved now.

This shouldn't have been an issue in the first place but like PP explained to me I needed to remove the old details as they were still active.

Funny thing though I also didn't even realize things were automatically set eg logging into PP without having to log in when I make a purchase,this was set up without my knowledge lol so I had no idea.

Well at least you know the security protocols activated to protect your account, even if it was only from yourself.  Good to know it was nothing sinister.
