Can't lodge an item not received

I am trying to get a refund on an incompleted order from November, 2023, but ebay website won't show any orders that are eligible to be disputed. I can't get any sense from the 'automated help desk' because the issue is obviously past the date of eligibility or something and nothing 'eligible' shows up on their system? How can I get in touch with ebay to sort this out? I have been emailing back and forth with the seller but they're refusing to refund me and say they've (three times) sent out the remaining products, but I have not received them. They offered a $6 refund when the amount should be $44.48. This has been going on for 7 months now and I can't get any help from ebay help desk. What's  my next option???

No - you have left everything - too late.

Be furious at yourself - you had everything at your disposal to get an outcome 7 months ago.

You didn't - but blame eBay - LOL

Thanks. It looks like I canโ€™t even leave feedback now - perhaps because of the time frame being past โ€ฆ? Canโ€™t find anywhere on the original listing and purchase to leave feedback on it.

No the website is not a joke.  You decided to play games with the seller, instead of using the tools available.  Dont blame Ebay for you not using the tools. You have been a member for 19 years

Re: Can't lodge an item not received

If Iโ€™d been aware of the time limitations I would have acted accordingly. So yes Iโ€™m guilty of ignorance, but absolutely reject the claim of โ€˜choosing not to use themโ€™! I would assume that whilst emails were being exchanged that the process is still open and it makes no sense to put a time limit on a process thatโ€™s still ongoing. No - wouldnโ€™t become a seller for quids.

Re: Can't lodge an item not received

Correct.

You are way out of time for leaving feedback and, as advised by many, out of time for any redress through eBay.

Read up on the Money Back Guarantee. Read up on timeframes. Work out how eBay works.

After 19 years of membership you should have a glimmer of an idea of all of the above.

Re: Can't lodge an item not received

What has being a member for 19 years to do with it? Iโ€™ve only ever used it occasionally and not had any unresolved problems that needed to be investigated further.  (Therefore unless thereโ€™s a reason to - how would I realise to see if thereโ€™s time limits to lodge a dispute?)

How is expecting the seller to honour their word โ€˜playing gamesโ€™  for heavenโ€™s sake??? If this is your idea of support just donโ€™t bother.

You're responding to the wrong member.

EVERY SINGLE LISTING has an eBay link to the MBG. If you can't be bothered to at least read the MBG once then, as you have found, you do your dough.

These have the necessary information concerning timeframes.

If a seller doesnโ€™t refund you within the timeframe for resolving a problem, after youโ€™ve opened a dispute/refund request, then you should escalate / ask eBay to step in within the dispute. This option only becomes available once the timeframe for that has been reached.

The earlier post stating that you have 60 days to open a dispute is not correct. It is 30 days. Read the links Iโ€™ve posted for all of the timeframes.

Donโ€™t let sellers string you along. Act within the timeframes. The whole process is bot-driven and time-specific to the nanosecond.

Re: Can't lodge an item not received

Maybe you should read the links the Countess posted. They would tell you how the MBG works.

Far more fruitful than posting on an old thread, and probably less time consuming.
