I have been sent a PayPal invoice for excess postage.... after the company have sent the goods and after I have received them.
This extra postage was not quoted at time of purchase. Sorry not through ebay but I can't find anywhere on PayPal to ask.
So what I am asking is....
Can PayPal take the money from my account without me authorising it?
Also can PayPal close or freeze my account or flag me if I don't pay it.
Thank you so much for help.

i hope you dont want to join the deep matter group do you. the op if worried should be seeing someone .
Joe, this is the internet.....how do you think a paypal money request is delivered? By email of course. It can be forwarded to paypal to see if it is genuine.
And the OP is not particularly worried....if you read the OP you will see that she was only asking what paypal might be able to do in relation to removing money from her account.
By the way, you still have not informed us what you want to be called seeing as you asked not to be called by your name.

joe, PayPal invoices are sent as emails. That is the email tippy is referring to.
In the past, some posters have done a cut-and-paste of the email contents and have inadvertently uploaded links that were in the email. Some of these links that appeared in posts have been to spam websites, which is why tippy advised the OP to not post the email.
I'm not having a go at you joe, just educating you a little more.

What are you on tonight Joe?
That post makes no sense at all.

sorry joe, but all posts on a thread have to be able to be held up to scrutiny, and that includes yours, lyndal's and even mine. I welcome scrutiny of the advice I offer as that is how I continue to learn. I've been around long enough that there have been times, many times, where I have been shown to be wrong and I have learnt from that.
When you post advice on a thread you have to accept that some members, as you say, will disagree with you. They will post in reply to you. When a member posts incorrect information it has to be possible to correct that information by replying directly to the poster concerned.
Simply replying to a post is not a reportable offence. However, the content of a post can be reported if it breaches board rules.
Having read the posts on this thread I would advise the OP to forward the email to PayPal to see if it is legit or spam, and if it is legit then I would be calling Fair Trading or Consumer Affairs in the OP's home state. Most states have essentially the same rules, guidelines and laws in this area.
Finally, please stop with the "deep matter gang/group" references. You can hardly complain of unfair treatment on these boards if you continue with that referencing. I think that is what some posters mean when they post "pot . . . kettle".

You really have lost it Joe.
What on earth is this deep matter group that you are talking about?
Most of us have answered the OP, who seems to be quite happy with the information she received in the first few posts on this thread. she has not returned for further advice so there is no point in addressing any further replies to her.
Most of the replies are being addressed to you to correct the incorrect information you are posting.....you really have no idea.

Perhaps we could read your posts properly if you used 'proper' English.
What does "the op needs to be a bit more clearear" mean exactly?

@joethenuts wrote:yes this is my post to the op ,as you mentioned incorect info my message to the op seek some legal advice how is that incorect info
I have already addressed this in an earlier post, in a respectful way, and my response is still there for all to see. I replied to your earlier post to offer an alternate perspective to seeking legal advice, a perspective that would be simpler, cheaper and probably more appropriate. I never said your advice to seek legal advice was incorrect.
I also posted in a previous post that information should be able to be held up to scrutiny, and not that only incorrect information should be replied to.
Members cant be running off to consult lawyers for every single problem they encounter when there are more appropriate alternatives.
Please also note that I am being respectful in how I reply to you in this post. Please extend the same courtesy to me by dropping the references to me being part of a gang.

Phorum Junkie is also registered in Australia Joe. She lives here for 6 months of the year and also sells while she is here.
She has as much right to post on the Australian boards as anybody else here.
