In March 2023, I bought an item from an eBay shop. Item has never worked properly despite being advertised as “new, AU stock, Warranty”. Seller had ‘No Returns’ activated so I cannot use the usual return functions. I have made numerous attempts to contact the seller since April, to no avail, until this week when they claim to be unable to find my order…I sent the order # and have heard nothing since. How does one make a complaint to eBay?

They did'nt jump to conclusions
No need to contact the seller many times, obviously they had no intention of doing anything, so contacting them 'several times' was not going to help you
Even as a guest you could have opened a dispute
Even as a guest you are given the tools if things are'nt right
Even as a guess, all the replies you have had still stand
And as said, it is now far too late to make a complaint
Even as a guest, you the buyer have all the power
eBay are not going to do anything after all this time
Obviously not what you wanted other members to tell you, but most folks here give factual answers based on eBay policy

Ahh yes, that old chestnut
No need to respond to everyone who answered you
Your time would be better spent learning buying basics
And 'Australian consumer law' does not apply to sellers in China
Nor would it when you did not follow eBay policy

Learn how to read a thread. My post was not directed to or at you,nor was it an attack on your ability to spell.
It was directed at Brevo who was spamming numerous threads.
As far as Australian consumer law, it does not apply to international purchases, nor does it apply to non business sellers, and it does not relate to ebay in relation to your purchase, from whatever seller you bought from.

Let's make it crystal clear for you............
1. eBay's MBG only applies up to 30 days after the item's ETA.
2. Paypal's limit for a claim is 180 days after the purchase date.
3. Warranties on eBay only apply if the seller is an Australian certified seller/reseller or the manufacturer of the product.
In ALL 3 of those scenarios you fail to have grounds for a refund.

Obviously you only want to hear what you want to hear
And you don't want facts
So go and take on eBay under Australian consumer law
Then, as said, learn how eBay works
You don't get to complain because you are not special. Like or not all policies apply to you
You choose to do nothing so you get nothing
