We purchased from USA & the freight we were charged was more than double that was quoted on ebay. Ebay blamed the seller , the seller blamed paypal , paypal didnt want to know about it. Ebay are human **bleep**. Scum of earth.

This is just a fraud scam to rip people off. Dont use this filth organisation.

All costs are up front at the checkout.

But you still paid it?

If the invoice was for more than quoted in the listing why did you go ahead and pay without querying the cost?

How is paypal to blame in any way....they just transfer the amount of money that you authorised?

Can you pos the item number so we can see what might have happened.

Just guessing, you are not a fan of the new GST and import charges, being applied to low value imports, as required by the Australian Government.

If you dont like it, dont use it, but as stated by others, you are aware off all costs prior to completing purchase.

They were probably the last 2 feedbacks recieved where the seller was using the GSP - hence no combining of postage.

The OP does seem to have a lot of problems buying on eBay, perhaps on-line buying is not for them...................

Yeah but I don't think this is a good customer experience - especially for a Technology company.

You see the price and postage on the listing and by the time you add your discount coupon and all the rest they

whack on the GST plus other fees at the end with previously no mention and those who are not tech savy may not see it.

(I have moved onto to GST free sites so if they have changed the way GST is shown during the buying phase I apoligise)

It has nothing to do with being tech savy, it is about knowing your responsibilties when you intend to import a product to Australia.

How can ebay be expected to add the GST component and Shipping/import costs, just on the off chance that the item is sold to

an Australian ebayer
