Feedback & how it works

Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone could help me and explain how feedback works?!
I always thought you leave your feedback after the item/s you purchase arrive and you can see all is well, its what you ordered, not broken etc and so forth...
But I have recently made a purchase on the 2nd June, status said its paid for and been posted, but I now have had seller message me giving me a big story that their account has been put on hold due to no positive feedback, and could I please leave feedback as its their only income and they need to pay bills etc..

Is this right?! Is this how feedback works? Any info would be greatly appreciated! T.I.A!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Feedback & how it works

No wonder they are touting for feedback, that is an appalling score for a high volume seller. I wouldn't have purchased from them if their percentage was below 99.5%.

They have almost certainly lost any Power Seller and TRS status and may well have had listing restrictions imposed.

I would ignore their emails and if the item arrives and is OK I would leave a neut with the comment it would have been pos if they had not badgered you for feedback. I would also give them one star for the communication DSR.

The sellers scorecard
98.7%

Neutral feedback rating    Neutral    0    2    4
Negative feedback rating    Negative    0    1    3

I would mark them 5 for description if the description was accurate

Give them 3 for communication.... because at least they did communicate even if the email was  a little pushy dependant of course on any other communication received

Then mark the postage time and cost in line with the service provided and leave positive

feedback if I was happy  with the transaction overall.

I dont mind sellers requesting feedback and I am adult enough to decide myself when I will leave itrather than mark sellers down just because they had the audacity to ask.
