Typical, let somebody else shovel the proverbial schit.....

in a way, the post of mine you have replied to said just about the same thing as your post.

c_mount was complaining about something and hoping and praying that someone would take on the goverment . . . . to which I replied with a suggetion that they take on the government.  In other words, not rely on others to do your bidding.

I wasn't asking anyone to shovel anything.

I know it is late, but I have just one more word to add:

June

First off, I am labelled 'not a bully' and now it seems I am 'not in the inner circle' who have the 'full protection of the moderators'!

I bet that's because - as a sock-puppet eBay employee, you A) have to maintain a certain level of fairness, and can't engage in overt bullying, B) can infiltrate the inner circle, but only to observe and report, and C) as an employee, you don't need the protection of the mod(s).

I'm on to you, sir.

seems both c_mount and you "hope and pray" a bit. You have both also used the rarely used disparaging term "snowflake" in posts.

Just coincidence? I wonder!

Re: GST on all imports July 2018

It is already taxed money from one's income before being spent and then it is taxed yet again for Goods and Services that Australia does not provide. Ironic really. GST came in after NZ used it for years and the Australian Government promised to get rid of other taxes like Stamp Duty. And guess what?  Did not happen.

Those goods and services are not being provided by Australia and therefore should not be subjected to this tax - there are products out there that are not sold here at all.  E.g. A) Portable Cooling devices B) Vitamins like Gotu Kola.

I think it is a violation of a consumer's right to shop where ever s/he wants without having a tax imposed for Goods and Services that are not provided in Australia or by Australia. Not for $1,000 and under any how..

That $2,500 medical device I am talking about is actually made in Australia. The USA also makes it now too, but for less.

I was told be a health practitioner that the reason they are expensive here is because of the Australian Government. In the USA it is offset by the USA Government whereas here that is not the case.

And whether I earned $$ or $$$ - the tax was always the same.  The only thing that did change was the local tax depending on the area lived in or moved to from time to time.

Anyways, tomorrow is the day!

Thanks everyone for being so helpful - I did call the ATO anyhow a few weeks back to find out myself because some things, although paid for, will not arrive until early next year as still being produced and/or manufactured.
