Stop yelling, and strangely, if I click on your items, the 'expected delivery date'
is Wednesday 6th June. That's 3 days from the Wang to Melbourne.
If you think it's bull, then push out your handling time.

Actually, having another looksee, it says 'on or before 6th June'
And looking in that category, I can't even see the button to distinguish the 3 day delivery sellers from everybody else.

yeah australia post is slow and probably goes through 3 mail centres to get to melbourne from here . probably a week or more to qld where i lived for 12 months , and no hope to wa or any where else who seem to be where most of my customers have been from .might put my handling time out to a week ( and get no interest !! ).. 60 km a day . thay need to train faster snails ( snail mail) .

My observations are that the buyer doesn't even look at the due date until it's in their purchases.
That's when they notice it might be a while.
But, on the rare occasion that they do look, and it arrives early, they're very happy.
Just make sure if you extend that handling time, that you post the same day or next.

The Guaranteed delivery is just a marketing tools Ebay use to compete with their competitor. Especially Amazon and Alibaba come in the market place, they are more worrying about their profitability.
All Ebay cares is about them self, not the seller.
1) Many buyers, easily hook in by those type of marketing strategy.
2) If the items does not get delivery within the Guarantee period of what Ebay indicated. Do Ebay really care about us getting negative feedback or not? I do not think so... They may even punish you for late delivery.
3) “Some” buyers do not understand, we as a seller or Ebay itself are a separate entity with the Delivery Company. So if the item delivery late, we as a seller will suffer the consequences.
4) Yes, people can say to encourage buyer look for Express Postage. However, do they really look and select the Express option? Given that they have to pay additional postal charges. When people looking at the large and bold words “Guaranteed Delivery” we might think it’s across all delivery services, so why they need to pay additional postage for.
I think at this stage we have a choice not to include this service. Unless Ebay profit reduce by "0.01%", then it is not surprise for Ebay really enforce this policy and may even Guarantee 2hrs delivery service ;- )

Simple - they don't.
A seller chooses which areas in Australia they feel confident guaranteeing delivery to. They may only choose to do it for intrastate orders, or - if they have an extremely reliable courier or somesuch (they are out there) - they may choose to guarantee delivery to most major metro areas.
It is also not based on the service the buyer selects, it is based on the default postage method available in the listing.
