Recently I bought an item from a seller in the US, paid for the item to be delivered to Australia via the Global Shipping Program. I was given a tracking number, which showed the progress of the delivery. However the progress changed from In Transit to Delivered in Erlanger, KY. I understand that with the GSP the seller posts the item to Pitney Bowes Inc. in Erlanger and they re-package it and send it to Australia. However, is it odd that the status says delivered? Will the tracking get updated with the new international tracking number and change back to in transit again? I've never used this service before and I'm a bit apprehensive. I've contacted the seller but they're as much clueless as me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@papapoum wrote:I lost complete confidence in Ebay because of that **bleep** Global Shipping Program. Why is Fedex using the word "Delivered" when my package arrives at the Erlanger Global Shipping Center and will be prepared for shipment abroad ? Delivered for me means : "has reached final destination". They have to change that word in "Arrived in Global Shipping Center - Erlanger - KY and in preparation for shipping abroad". I accused the Ebay-seller of fraude, Pitney & Bowes of complete incompetence in the field of shipping and Fedex of "how I get my drivers and trucks rolling , it doesn"t matter where we are going with the load" !!!! So kissed Ebay"s ass and I"m an Amazon buyer now. Ebay for me is history !!!!
If you are no longer an ebay buyer why do you feel the need to come here and complain about the GSP....which you obviously do not understand anyway?
When the item arrives in Erlanger KY it has indeed reached it's destination....the seller addresses the parcel to you at an address in Erlanger KY and sends it via USPS. Once it reaches that address it has been delivered.
FedEx is not using the word "Delivered" when the item reaches Erlanger.....at that stage FedEx has not even entered the picture. Only when Pitney Bowes processes the item and hands it on the FedEx does it have anything to do with FedEx.
Accusing the seller of fraud was a bit rich, coming from someone who does not understand the GSP but the accusation of incompetance by Pitney Bowes is pretty accurate as far as I can see from the many posts on the boards.
As far as your complaint about FedEx....I have no idea what you mean so it is a bit hard to comment. If it has anything to do with the use of the word Delivered when the item reached Erlanger then your annoyance is misplaced as FedEx has nothing to do with the item till after it has been processed in Erlanger.

Hi, I currently have the same issue with Pitney Bowes. I ordered 4 rims from CWO on ebay. They send them in 2 boxes and only 1 made it to Australia. Called Fedex were my other box was, but they said we only got one box. Asked the seller for proof which they gave me. Pitney Bowes signed for 2 boxes. Opened a case on ebay, but they closed it because the item was delivered. Yah, 1 box. Called Pitney Bowes and got somebody on the line that was so hard to understand and got told to open a case with ebay. I'm at my witch end as those rims costs a lot of money. I'm thinking of contacting pay pal and see if they can do something here. Ebay is a joke and don't want to take responsibility. It looks like they just steel packages from customers and say the lost it. My item was marked delivered in Australia though, but like I said only 1 box arrived, so I signed for the 1 box.

nic, since eBay has closed the case your only option now is to open a case through Paypal for "item not received". You will need to prove to them that 2 boxes were sent and only 1 received.
There should be 2 tracking numbers for the 2 boxes, have those handy and upload them when you escalate the claim.

There is no need to post this on every thread you can find. You won't get any different replies.

Padi, if an Item Not Received dispute is opened it wil be closed in double quick time as there is proof that an item was delivered.
The proper dispute is Item Not As Described.....the order was for 4 rims which were sent in 2 parcels. Only one parcel was delivered.

For your item to have been sent to Kentucky, it's obvious that you bought through
the Global Shipping Programme.
Didn't you notice that you were charged for expensive postage? That's the GPS
