I bought a Samsung s6 and a Samsung s6 edge from a seller, at a very reasonable price. I paid via bank transfer outside eBay, because it was posted as Local Pick up only, and I asked the seller to post. In the list it was mentioned that the price is for 1 phone each, and I can choose one of my liking, but I contacted the seller through text (his number was provided) that I will pay for both with double the price and postage fees, and we agreed. But when I opened the parcel there was only one phone inside, eventhogh I paid for 2 phones. I tried contacting the seller, but no reply and does not pick up my call.
I know eBay wont help me as I bought it outside eBay, so is there anthing I can do? Can the police help? Or the ACORN? ***I once got scammed on Gumtree for a smaller amount $150, the police told me to report to ACORN, and I did, but it has been a month now and still no responce from ACORN***. So can I rely on the police or the ACORN to help?
I have the seller's name, number and bank details, can I do anything with these?
Please suggest me what to do, did you ever face in a similar situation? If so what did you do to get your money back?

have you got any proof you ordered 2 phones , if not what can acorn do as you said you are waiting a month on another problem and what did the police say go to acorn , if you can proove its a cyber scam go to acorn , [i knw you have already heard but why would you buy a phone whith no backup ,and at least if you picked it up you would of seen and tested and taken 2 phones . have you got ant text messages or was it just over the phone .
at the end can you proove it was for 1 or 2 phones ,otherwise its a catch22

Did you buy the Iphone 6 128gb Silver from a seller with only one feedback and paid by direct bank transfer? Contact eBay and get their contact details. Good luck.

the op says he has there number but he is not answering prob one of the phones he sold. what can ebay do ,it was brought not through ebay. but maybe with his text to the seller he might have something , maybe this is not a case for acorn but for the police as its not realy an internet scam . prob a civil case . ebay wont give details out to any person , no transaction on ebay. def a civil case ,
good luck op

Joe, the OP bought the phone through ebay but paid with bank deposit.
That is completely different to buying off ebay.....it is definitely internet fraud and can be reported to ACORN.

If the OP bought one phone through ebay and received one phone then there is probably not much anyone can do. They are actually lucky they got anything as the seller could have sent them nothing. Paying in advance for a pick up item is fraught with danger, if the OP has emails stating the seller has agreed to a price for both items they may be able to scare the seller into sending the other item with a threat of going to the police but I doubt if they can do much else as one email agreeing to provide more than the ebay listing is hardly definitive proof.

Joe, you can check watchcount dot com for your self. Just key in the op's id and see his only purchase. The phone I mentioned earlier. Op has not been back so not sure if they are serious or not.

I doubt that it is the phone in question here as it does not mention the seller having 2 phones or give the seller's phone number.
OP can you post the item number here so we can see the full listing.
