Since the intoduction of this service items arrive in Australia and then can spend weeks (more than a month) sitting in storage before finally being forwarded on.
I now will not buy from a seller who uses this service. I am changing to Aliexpress where items are arriving much quicker.

I agree totally, and as for the person who implied 'cheap items', my last $100 + item was received & compared, results were exactly the same item, same stamp & engraving, colour, weight, performance & quality, price labelled here at $439 not including freight, this item was a need, not a want, and being a pensioner I couldn't afford the item at the higher expense, my be you can fork out higher dollars every time, I cant.

7 weeks and still waiting!
I don't bother using eBay anymore as I live in Melbourne and any thing from even Sydney is taking up to 3 x weeks - and it doesn't look like it will improve.
I buy local now and pay the extra - at least I can go and pick it up.

I heard some rumour recently about some kind of worldwide pandemic. Could just be a rumour, I haven't been able to verify whether it's true or not. Apparently it's causing issues with deliveries due to the insane amount of online shopping people are doing. As is evident by the sorting centres being floor to ceiling with parcels.
I guess that delays and whatnot due to this rumoured pandemic don't apply to you? You're not alone. Good on your for choosing to buy local though.
Your screenshot is for a delivery from China, so not sure why you think it's taking 3 weeks from Sydney to Melbourne. That Chinese delivery was actually quite fast all things considered.

I am following the same trend, Ebay has become a joke, 3 months delivery timelines, by the time it gets delivered you cant even do the returns cause it expired. Wonder why they have tanked the platform so much in the last 5-7 years, its like they want to lose customers on purpose. I have started using Aliexpress lately and price is lower, delivery is much much faster... only using ebay for local stuff... and i get fooled about the local stock from time to time

Still a bit of COVID around; still a lack of international freight services. I assume you have taken those factors into account. Haha.

Your last 6 out of 7 feedback left for you are from China, all with atrocious feedback. What do you expect? Do you even check seller feedback? In ordinary times, you can expect to wait up to 8 weeks from China, if you have bought with "free postage", because that usually goes by sea. Sometimes you can jag it whereby you buy something the day before it goes on the boat, so it turns up quicker. Given that China currently hates Australia, you can't expect too much.
Now we have this pesky pandemic thingy, that has kinda stuffed things up a bit for overseas deliveries (and domestic too). You may have heard of it. Try Google if you haven't. Yet, a certain percentage of the population still seem to think it doesn't apply to them and everything should be business as usual. You might be important to you, but the rest of the world doesn't share your sentiment. Therefore, the rules apply to you too. Try buying something from the US, they won't even post it! At least you are eventually getting your Chinese junk. Looking at what you've bought, most of it is junk.
I love it when people start bleating that they are moving to Ali express, or Amazon, like it's some kind of threat to ebay. Trust me, ebay DON'T CARE. They won't miss you one bit. You aren't even a grain of sand on a beach to them. However, I am curious, what colour did you dye your beard?
PS: Maybe pick your Chinese sellers better. I ordered something from a reputable Chinese seller on Jan 10 and it arrived Jan 17. Gotta be happy with that!

my beard colour has nothing to do with the fact that its been 3 months since purchse and my item is still in transit? Can you state your affiliance - im confident you are not entirely objective 🙂
i dont care about being a grain of sand for Ebay, enough grain of sands make a beach mate, if ebay doesnt care soon enough will end up like Yahoo, giant turned to dust.
Orange connex has had a massive negative impact on delivery times and that is a fact, i purchase multiple items from China on multiple accounts (work related stuff) and i can compare the delivery times difference between other chinese transport companies and Orange Connex... wonder why the pandemic only affects Orange Connex to this degree?
Yes they all have been impacted but there is minimum 6 weeks difference between them and Caniao (AliExpress)

If that is how it works, that must mean you work for a rival courier company
I'm confident in fact
Maybe don't buy junk from China, and if you insist on doing so, ask the seller which delivery service they use
Too much trouble, I guess

Why after all this time have you not opened a dispute? Everything is there for buyers to get a refund. Yet, so many choose to not utilise what is available to them to get a refund when transactions go wrong.
